Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding sends calls placed to your office extension on to another number - your cell phone, a home office line, or a co-worker - so you stay reachable when you are away from your desk or already on a call. Enter the numbers you use most, then switch forwarding on or off as your situation changes.
Forward all calls made to my office extension. Forwards every incoming call to a different phone number, such as your home office or cell phone. Use this when you are working elsewhere and want calls to follow you. Note that when this option is enabled it takes precedence over Find Me / Follow Me.
You can also set the forwarding number by dialing special feature codes from your phone: *72 to activate and *73 to deactivate.
Forward all calls when my office phone is busy. Forwards incoming calls to a different number only when your line is already in use. Use this when you would rather a co-worker pick up than have the caller sent to voicemail while you are on another call.
You can also set this forwarding number by dialing *90 to activate and *91 to deactivate.
Tips
- Enter the numbers you forward to most often and leave them saved; then use Enable / Disable to toggle forwarding without re-typing anything.
- For a quick on/off toggle without opening settings, use the forwarding shortcut in the My Status window.
- If a simple “forward everything” rule is not flexible enough - for example you want several phones to ring, or forwarding only during certain hours - use Find Me / Follow Me instead.
You can enter the information you use frequently and then “Enable” or “Disable” it as needed.
Call Forwarding applies to calls to your office phone extension, not to direct calls from other Thirdlane Connect users.
