Platform Overview
What is Thirdlane Platform
Thirdlane Platform is a complete unified communications and contact center solution for businesses and service providers. It combines a full-featured IP PBX, team messaging, video conferencing, and a multi-channel contact center into a single, integrated platform — managed through a powerful web-based Configuration Manager.
Whether you are a service provider hosting hundreds of tenants, an enterprise managing multiple offices, or a small business looking for a professional phone system with team collaboration — Thirdlane provides the tools you need.
Who Is It For
Service Providers and MSPs
Host and manage multiple tenants from a single installation. Each tenant gets full isolation, dedicated configuration, optional branding, and delegated administration. Reseller management lets you offer white-label services at scale.
Businesses of All Sizes
From a single office to an enterprise spread across sites, the same feature set is available. Start with one server and move to a cluster as your needs grow, adding a second server for survivability whenever that becomes the requirement.
Contact Centers
Built-in call queuing with intelligent routing strategies, agent management, real-time metrics, messaging queues for omnichannel customer support, and CRM integration — all without third-party add-ons.

Deployment Options
Thirdlane is deployed to match two separate requirements: how much it has to carry, and whether it has to survive losing a server.
How much it has to carry:
- All-in-One — one server runs everything. Simple to install and manage, and suitable for small to medium deployments.
- Cluster — the platform is divided between servers by function, and the tier that handles calls is scaled by adding servers to it.
Whether it survives losing a server, for an All-in-One deployment:
- Replicated standby — a second server kept continuously up to date, held out of service until someone promotes it. The two can be at different sites.
- HA cluster — two servers sharing one mirrored disk, where the services move to the survivor on their own. Both servers have to be in the same location.
All deployment options support both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. See Deployment Options for detailed architecture descriptions.
