Tasks
Tasks turn intentions into tracked, accountable work: the callback you promised, the quote you need to send, the follow-up after a meeting. By linking each task to a contact, account, or lead, the commitment lives right on the customer record instead of in someone’s memory or a personal to-do list. Each task has a priority, a due date, an assigned owner, and a status that moves from open through completion - with overdue items flagged automatically so nothing slips.
Task Grid
The task grid shows all tasks for the current tenant with paging support.

Tasks in the Activity Timeline
Tasks appear in the Activity Timeline for contacts, accounts, and leads. When viewing a timeline, tasks are included alongside activities and interactions, showing:
- The task title and due date
- Current status in brackets (e.g., “[open]”, “[completed]”)
- The assigned user
This provides a complete picture of all work related to a given entity.
Overdue Detection
Tasks are automatically flagged as overdue when:
- The task status is open
- The due date has passed
Overdue tasks stand out in the grid with a red OVERDUE badge in the status column and red-colored due date text.
Best practices
- Always set a due date and owner. A task with no due date won’t surface as overdue, and a task with no
Assigned Tohas no one accountable for it. - Link the task to a record. Attaching it to the related contact, account, or lead means the next person who opens that record sees the pending work on its timeline.
- Use priority consistently. Reserve
highfor genuinely time-critical items so the color coding stays meaningful. - Cancel instead of delete. If a task is no longer needed, mark it
cancelledto keep the history rather than removing it.
