Voicemail

This section is your visual voicemail inbox: it lets you see, play, organize, and share your voice mail messages from the browser instead of dialing in and stepping through an audio menu. You can scan your messages at a glance, listen in any order, keep important ones in folders, and forward a message to a colleague by email - all far quicker than a traditional phone-based mailbox.

To listen to a voice mail message click PLAY, and the message will be downloaded and played (provided that you have appropriate player software).

To delete a voice mail message, select it using the check box on the left and click on Delete Selected.

Voice mail messages can be organized into folders. To create a new folder you can enter its name and click Create button. To move or copy voice mail message(s) to a folder, select it using the check box on the left, select the target folder from the drop down list and click on either Move to folder or Copy to folder button.

You can also send your messages to other people via email. To send message(s) select them using the check box on the left, enter email address into Send to field (or choose it from a list by clicking … button), enter Subject and (optional) email text, and click Send email button.

Best practices

  • Use folders to keep an audit trail. Move messages you may need later (a customer request, an approval) into a named folder instead of leaving everything in the inbox.
  • Forward by email when a message belongs to someone else rather than replaying it over the phone - the recipient gets the audio and your note in one place.
  • Enable voicemail-to-email in Voicemail Settings so you are notified of new messages without checking this screen.
