Send Faxes

The Send Faxes screen lets you send a fax straight from your browser by uploading a PDF - no fax machine, scanner, or dedicated fax line required. It is handy whenever a business or government office still insists on receiving documents by fax: the system converts your PDF and transmits it over the phone network on your behalf.

Simply enter the Fax Number and upload the file in PDF format, then send. You are notified of the result according to your organization’s fax settings.

Best practices

  • Send a clean, text-based PDF rather than a photo of a document - it faxes faster and arrives far more legibly.
  • Enter the number in the format your outbound routes expect (the same way you would dial the destination on a call), including any required prefix or country code.
  • Confirm delivery. Faxing depends on the far end’s machine answering; if a send fails, check the number and try again rather than assuming it went through.
