Grafana Dashboards

Thirdlane integrates with Grafana to provide real-time and historical system monitoring dashboards. Where Services Status tells you whether something is up right now, Grafana shows resource and service trends over time - so you can see usage climbing before it becomes a problem, correlate a slowdown with a specific subsystem, and plan capacity from real data rather than guesswork.

Call volume, answer rates, queue performance, and related analytics are not Grafana dashboards. Use Organization Analytics instead: Calls for traffic and routing, and Contact Center for queues, agents, and service level.

Available Dashboards

The following built-in dashboards are available when the Grafana monitoring stack is installed:

  • System Overview — CPU, memory, disk, and network utilization across servers.
  • Kamailio — SIP proxy metrics including active dialogs, request rates, and error counts.
  • MariaDB — database performance metrics such as query throughput, connections, and replication status.
  • Nginx — web server request rates, response codes, and connection statistics.

Open them from Diagnostics > Grafana in Configuration Manager. Dashboards are pre-configured and begin collecting data once the monitoring stack is deployed.

Customization

Administrators can create custom dashboards or modify existing ones to focus on specific metrics relevant to their deployment. Grafana’s alerting features can also be configured to notify administrators of threshold breaches.

Grafana dashboards require the monitoring stack to be enabled on the server. Contact your system administrator if dashboards are not available.

Best practices

  • Configure alerts on the metrics that matter (disk space, memory, database connections) so you are notified of a threshold breach instead of discovering it during an outage.
  • Review trends after big changes - a new tenant, a bulk import, or an update - to confirm the system absorbed the change without straining resources.
  • Use the layered view. Start with System Overview for the big picture, then drill into Kamailio, MariaDB, or Nginx when a specific subsystem looks stressed.
  • Use Organization Analytics for call and contact center questions. Grafana is for the host and its services, not for CDR or queue reports.
